These link to fully functional software and documentation for the NIST Mass Spectral Search Program (Version 4.0) of 2026 along with a demonstration library.

It installs an older version of AMDIS (GC/MS Automated Deconvolution and Identification System) along with current MS Interpeter (spectrum/structure correlation), the Lib2NIST (text file to NIST library conversion) program and the introductory file: readme-ei-2026-demo.pdf. It can read low-resolution GC/MS files in most formats and high-resolution files in standard formats (mzML, mzData, and netCDF).

It also contains a small demonstration library and will read libraries in NIST EI format, including those here and here . Prior to use, these library folders must be copied to the folder containing the main program (nistms-EIdemo26.exe), which is in the mssearch folder under the NIST26-EI-DEMO folder.
