First the Components are flagged in the Calibration/Performance Library.  A "c" denotes a Calibration compound and a "p" indicates a Performance compound.  A compound can be flagged for both calibration and performance.

A list of all performance compounds (and their retention times and retention indices) are tabulated in the QA/QC tabbed dialog.  Performance tracking allows you to monitor the performance of your instrument over time.
