AMDIS can be used as a Black Box Identifier or as an advanced tool for deconvolution.  When AMDIS is in the blinded mode (black box), the user cannot view the raw data, only the identified components.

AMDIS can also be used as an advanced tool for deconvolution and identification instead of as a black box identifier.  In this mode the user can examine the raw data, analysis, and identification in more detail.
